Session Five.

I'm looking forward to this next session as well.

It's safe to say that all of you can expect some combat.

I have the Alumni Room again; same time.

You guys will start the game off right where you left off; you just successfully cleared out the Watch Tower.

I work until 1:30, so I'll show up hopefully by two. Lunch may take more time than anticipated, however.

Congrats on the good game last night guys; I think we managed to have a "normal" session in terms of productivity and keeping things going.

Anyway; the PC party, beginning after successfully clearing out the tower, kept watch for the rest of the night. Early next morning they were relieved by a Hallstatt party who actually managed to sneak up on Markum, the Half-Orc Fighter aspiring to be an Occult-Slayer.

The PCs were directed back towards town where they showed proof of their deeds (the bugbear's head), and debriefed/were debriefed. In the conversation Garrett fixed his social stigma, and the Non-Orc PCs were informed of Elven Aid that was sent to help the Hallstatts. Also, the PC party was given the choice of another mission, which they all accepted.

The mission was to help in a joint-attack to retake the last bridge remaining along the nearby river. It was a key target because the river is a major obstacle that The Enemy uses to keep the majority of its army safe. Secondly, the enemy is poisoning the steam. The Hallstatts want to take back the bridge and use it to maximize their use of calvary against The Enemy.

After five days spent in RnR, purchasing weapons and training, the PC party finally leaves and spents four days to arrive near the bridge. During these four days heavy downpour and winds, though only enough to hinder Line of Sight, was a constant nuissance. On the fourth day they broke through the forest, and managed to find the river, at which point they heard The Enemy's "Camp Noises" and snuck up on them. While preparing for attack, the Cleric was casting buff spells and was heard, which brought some attention. Initially, three Gnoll archers were in the battle, after which three Hobgoblins joined in to back them up, and, again, after which joined three Orcish archers joined the fray.

Various things happened... lot's of arrows were fired... Some people were pushed into the river (only The Enemy, but they tried to push Markum in, to no avail.) The battle was relatively equal until an Orcish Cleric joined the fight. This Orc managed to drop (negative hitpoints, but not dead) Markum, and kill (proper) Stan and Alan.

Meanwhile, Garrett switched tactics, going from heavy melee damage to hit and run using his bow. This worked until he retreated far enough from the stone on which they casted light on that the Orcish archers, plus the only remaining Hobgoblin Archer, ran after him into the darkness - tilting the scale far in their favor. At this point, Garrett retreated from battle.

Jason managed to do some damage with various spells to the Orc Cleric over the course of the Orc dropping several party members. But finally the Orc got up in his face, but casted Righteous Might. It was at this point that Jason retreated from battle.

Session Ended right afterwards, because it was past closing time.

(This is to inform anyone not attending session 5) Im looking foreward to next session, the gnome was not the best character I have made, I.E. can only deal real damage when flanking. To that end i plan to send the gnome home via the elves and create a new character, most likely a spell caster.
